Our Visit From Jeff

Last week Jeff was in Virginia getting some training done for his new job and he was nice enough to rent a car and come visit us for a couple of days. It was so nice to have him here and we were so excited to have some visitors. (Especially from my family...hint...hint :)) He got here Friday night and he was a good sport and went to a birthday party with us for a little boy in our ward. Then on Saturday we drove down to Baltimore and went to an Orioles game. We were lucky enough to be part of the first 20,000 fans to enter the ballpark because we got this SWEET DVD made by some of the Orioles players. (I am being extremely sarcastic. It was SO SO SO dumb.) O-R-I-O-L-E-S!! We also went to Chocolate World and got to see how chocolate is made. So anyways we were so glad we got to see Jeff and spend some time with him. Love Ya Jeff!!

Emmi's Little Quirks

Emmi does some really funny things. She has such a funny personality. It is SO cute to watch her everyday and watch for the funny things she does. She loves to put hings over her head whether it be necklaces, headbands, or towels. The other day she put a towel over her head, started to crawl and crawled right into the wall. She loves to take off her clothes. Especially if it is a stretchy shirt. She usually wakes up from her naps naked. She loves her sunglasses and wears them around the house. She loves to crawl into or under things. She is such a funny girl so I have some cute pictures of Emmi's quirks.

Emmi's necklaces (in a knot). She wore it
like that for about 20 min.
Emmi in the dryer.
She took off her shirt and tried to take off
her skirt and this is what I found.

She wouldn't let us take off her sunglasses for the bath.
Mommy's headband over her eyes.

She will crawl like this all day if I would let her.

Our Summer (so far)

Hurray!! I am FINALLY updating our blog. We have had many people (family) getting on our case to update so I got a quiet moment to do it. We have had one fun/crazy summer so far. In May Emmi and I went to Utah for the month to visit family while Clint stayed home to study for his boards. We had a blast but really missed Clint. Since we have been back we moved to a new apartment so now we are behind the Med center. We love our new place and especially our neighbors. A few people from our ward live in our same building so it has been really nice. We have also had a few mishaps with our new place which have been memorable. I have already locked myself out once and had to break in while the kids were eating lunch. Our oven also blew-up and so we couldn't cook anything for about a week. We just got all new appliances in our kitchen so I guess that is an okay trade off! Clint has started his 3rd year of Medical School and is doing his AHEC rotation in Pediatrics. He is enjoying it and it is nice that he is really close. Emmi is having a blast swimming and playing outside. She loves to crawl out our screen door and then crawls as fast as she can down the side walk. It is funny to see. She can really move!! We have ahd a couple visitors which we ALWAYS appreciate. Clint's parents had a conference in Washington DC so we went down there for a few days and stayed with them in there nice hotel. We went and saw the National Mall and went to the Zoo and of course went out to eat A LOT!! It was tons of fun. Last weekend my brother Jeff came up from Virginia where he is being trained for his new job. It was so nice to have him drive up here and stay with us for a couple of days. It was so fun. We ended up going to Baltimore and going to on Orioles game. It was BOILING hot but lots of fun. And last but definitely not least, Clint got his boards score back. I am SO proud of him and all of his hard work. We are so proud to have him and as a hubby and a dad. So here are some cute pictures of Emmi for everyone to see.

Happy Birthday Clinty-Poo!!!

I am one day late with this post but I wanted Clint to know how much we love him. He is a GREAT hubby and I love being married to him. He is a great dad to Emmi and she loves him to death. He is such a good student and just finished his 2nd year of Medical School. Half way through!!!!! We are going to miss him for sure when we are in Utah for a month. Anyways... The big 27!!! WOW!!! You are old. And of course with Clint being the party animal that he is he had breakfast in bed (a bowl of cold cereal. Go me :)), he went to school and studied for the boards until 5:00. We had a pizza party with my cub scouts and had birthday cake with them to. Emmi gave him little cards with her hand and foot prints on them, and I gave him a big old kiss. I finished my book and he studied some more!!! Whew. I hope I didn't leave anything out!! He did get a ton of phone calls from family so that was really nice. Thanks!! So Happy Birthday Clint. We love you. (oh, I am at work right now and don't have access to photos so I will post them tomorrow). Lovies Clint!

The Many Hair-dos of Emmi

I love that Emmi's hair is getting long enough to do. I have been experimenting on her to see what will go and stay in her hair. She hates bows or headbands and pulls them right out. Well I guess she pulls her hair out no matter what. So I do her hair about 5 times a day because she pulls it out as soon as I leave the room, and I have to take her hair out when she goes down for her naps because she will eat the rubberbands. (She ate one on the way to church and so her hair was sticking straight up the whole time. It was very funny.) Anyways...here are the fun things hair-dos I have been able to do.

curly and they curl really cute when they
are pulled up.)

Sleeping Beauty

So Emmi is so funny when she sleeps. She loves to turn herself completely horizontal so her head is hitting the bumper pad and her feet are resting up against the back of the crib. I went in the other day because I thought she was awake and this is how I found her. She had pulled the bumper pad off and wrapped herself in it. I thought it was so funny and was able to get some funny pictures. I still don't understand how little kids can sleep in the positions that they put themselves in. Oh and yes...Emmi's crib is still in the highest setting. She hasn't figured out that she can sit up yet, so hopefully she won't find out until we move her crib lower!!

Family

General Conference is coming up and I am so excited to listen to our new prophet, but it always makes me home sick. Especially when they show Temple Square in between sessions. I am so thankful that we are in Hershey and that we have the greatest ward and tons of close friends, but I miss my families. Being far away makes you appreciate family so much. It has been hard to miss a lot of fun things and to see everyone play sports, go to dances, learn to drive, and have family dinner every week together. It has been hard to not be there for Helen and the rough year she has been having. It is really hard to have everyone miss Emmi growing up. But with all that said, Clint and I are so grateful to be living here in PA, going to school and having the experiences that we are having. We are so thankful for our ward out here. They have become our "family" away from home. I'm so glad that we have such a close relationship with each of our siblings and their families. It makes it that much more exciting to come home. Anyways...enough babbling. I just was thinking about my family and wanted them to know that I love and miss everyone. Oh and Clint and I were counting. If you count my family we have 21 people and in Clint's he has 22 people(both of those are not counting us). So a combined total of our families is 43 people. If you count us there are 46. AMAZING!!! Emmi has 4 grandparents, 13 Uncles (5 of which are not married), 8 Aunts, and 18 cousins with more that will come. What a family for her!!! (And if I can say, both families are BEAUTIFUL.) Taking after Mommy

Now that she can crawl she loves to crawl up to the TV and watch it 2cm away from the screen. Clint is a little worried because she loves to watch the tv whenever it is on. She will actually push you out of the way if you are blocking her view. Oopsies. I guess I shouldn't watch tv anymore. Like mother like daughter!!

Emmi is Crawling

So Emmi decided the other day that she wants to crawl. I have been trying for months to get her to crawl but to no avail. I couldn't get her to budge. So the other day Clint and I were eating dinner and we look over and Emmi is crawling. We looked at each other and just stared. We were so amazed. She was full out crawling on her hands and knees. It was so funny. I know most of you are thinking "she is one years old, shouldn't she be walking by now?" But no, she is just a very content/lazy girl. So this is a HUGE step for her. Go Emmi!! So hopefully this video works. I will also post some pictures and try another video of her doing all her "tricks".

Laundry day.

So the other day I was doing laundry and Emmi likes to take all the clothes that I have just folded and unfolds them. So after I had finished folding everything I went to the bathroom and came back and this is what I found. Emmi had reached up and grabbed the clothes that were hanging off the sid of the laundry basket and then put on one of my shirts. I thought it was so funny. She has strated to do that now. anything that she can put over her head goes over her head. She is getting such a funny personality and loves to do funny things.

Our little peasant child.

Rub-a-dub-dub...Emmi in the tub!

Emmi loves bath time and loves to play with the bubbles after I wash her hair, so the other day I bought bubble bath and she LOVES it. She loves all the bubbles and loves to squish them in her hands. I this picture we thought we would make her a bubble beard. She kept wiping it off because I think it tickled her.

Doesn't she just have the sweetest eyes? Her hair is also getting SO long and fun. Too bad she won't let me put anything in it. She just pulls everything out. It is getting really curly in the back though. She gets that from Clint.

Clint always puts her in his towel.

So cute!!

All done. She loves her softy jammies!!

Funny Daddy!!

What is wrong with this picture? Let me tell you a little about it and see if you can tell what it is. I went to work the other day and left Clint in charge. He always does such a good job and Emmi loves being able to play with dad all day. So I get home from work and Emmi is in the highchair getting ready to eat. I look at her and start to laugh. Clint is clueless of why I am laughing and I think I laughed for about 5 minutes srtaight. Take a close look at the pictures and tell me if you can see anything wrong.

Here is the close up picture. Notice anything????

Okay. I will tell all of you who don't know what I am talking about. Clint put Emmi's shirt on backwards. It is a turtle neck and the buttons are supposed to go in the back. I asked Clint if he noticed the tag and he said he did and he just thought it was weird that it was in the front. So funny daddy!! Good thing for funny stories huh?!?

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's day. I thought I would post a picture of Emmi in her Valentine outfit. I don't know if you can see it but her little jumper has a cute little heart on it. Anyways. It has been a long time since I have posted anything so I guess it is about time. Life in Hershey is great. We are just plugging along and loving life. We miss all our family and I also want to tell everyone thanks for all the nice birthday calls you gave me. It really meant a lot. Thanks again!! We love and miss you.

Here is a cute picture of Emmi and her best bud
