It's a ????

We went to the doctor today to find out what we are having and it turns out it is a...?? Well before I tell you, Clint and I had made a bet. I for sure thought it was a boy and Clint was 100% positive it was a girl. So Sunday we made a bet that if it is a boy I get to name him and if it was a girl Clint got to name her. So anyways we thought we would start writing down names. If it is a boy we both really like Easton, Jackson, Jack or Thunder. I love Easton the most but I still really like the other ones. Girl names were a little harder for us. Clint started coming up with names like Sugar, Candy, Cookie, Rainbow and Starburst. We can't decide on any of those so we will have to wait until later to narrow it down. (By the way Thunder is a joke name...I wouldn't do that to my kid.) So we were really excited going into the doctor just so we could know who won the bet. And the winner is...??? Oh I forgot. It is Clint's birthday today so it was a great birthday present for him and he was so excited. What a fun thing to get on your birthday. I love Clint more than anything and he is the best Hubby, daddy and student. He works so hard to make sure Emmi and I are taken care of. I am so glad to have him in my life and I love him more than anything. Happy Birthday Clint!!!! We love you.

Okay...I think I have stalled long enough. We are having a...

Beautiful baby...

What was I thinking???

Emmi has been curious about the toilet lately and is always getting undressed and trying to change her diaper by herself so we thought we would buy her a little toilet for her and try to potty train her. The minute we got home from the store we opened the potty and she wanted to try it right away. So all afternoon Saturday she was naked and sitting on her toilet. The problem is she thinks it is a toy and not something you don't play with. As you can see in the picture she thinks the toilet is a hat and the seat is a purse. Don't worry...she hadn't used it yet. She also doesn't like sitting on it all the way so when she does end up going it isn't in the toilet but on the floor. We were very proud of her though. She did end up going a few hours after we bought it and she was SO excited. She kept clapping and saying "yeah". But now it is a nightmare. She doesn't want to sit on it but doesn't want to put her diaper back on either. What was I thinking? This is going to be such a hassle. Daddy...when I come out there will you potty train her?!?

Sean's Visit

Emmi at the Lollipop Shoppe in Amish Country
Our Amish Buggy and the horse "Geronimo"
At the Warold War II fountain
In the water in DC

We were so excited to have Sean here with us last week. We had such a good time. It is always so nice to have visitors. It was extra special to have him out here a couple weeks before he leaves on his mission. We did lots of fun things. He came on Tuesday and had come by train from Boston. He was in Boston watching my parents run the marathon and then he took Amtrak to our house. We were able to do lots of fun things including:
-going to Chocolate World...anyone that comes to visit us will go there.
-went to Gettysburg and saw all the battle sites. It was cold so we spent a lot of time in the car.
- went to Amish Country and rode on an Amich Buggy ride around an Amish Community. Emmi loved the horse.
-went shopping at the outlets...that one was for me and Sean was a trooper.
-went to the DC temple and did a session together. It was an awesome experience to just have me and Sean together in the temple while Clint stayed outside with Emmi.
-went to downtown DC and explored the National Mall. It was so HOT outside that Emmi and I spent most of our time at the fountains. Emmi also decided that she wanted to run away from me which ended with her face down in the World War II Momnument fountains. She was so excited to be in the water. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. She is such a little stinker.
So all in all we had a great week. It was so nice having Sean here and can't wait to come home in a week to see everyone else!!!
