Emmi has been in the "terrible two" stage lately. Everything is "no" and she doesn't want me to help her do ANYTHING. That includes putting her in her highchair, getting her dressed, putting on her shoes and changing her diaper. And if I try to help her she throws a tantrum for about 15 minutes. It is AWESOME!!! She is miss independent. By the end of the day I want to pull my hair out. Good thing Clint is finishing up his Neurology rotation and getting into his really easy/vacation months. Hopefully Emmi will be okay when the baby comes...(I'm crossing my fingers and toes.)
But even with all of that she does some very cute things. She is still a little snuggler...with me... and she LOVES taking care of her dolls. She dresses them, feeds them, sings and rocks them, and puts them to bed. It is SO cute. She also loves dressing herself. For example today she took off her pjs and put on a different pair. 5 minutes later she decided that she didn't want to wear those anymore so she put on her swimming suit with her underwear over it. Then she thought "why put on one swimming suit??? I have 3 of them." So she put on all of her swimming suits and her little cover up. She wore that for about 30 minutes and then decided that she wanted to get dressed for "real". The picture below is the outfit she FINALLY decided on. I tried to get her to change into different shorts that would match but quickly decided that it doesn't matter. The shirt is also a size 6-12 months ( don't ask me why I still have it in the drawer) but she LOVES it. She was so excited when I told her she could wear the shirt that she started clapping and saying "yeah" and had the biggest smile on her face. How can you say no to that? I love my little Ems.

Jordan, she's just adorable. Sorry about the power struggles, it will get better! I've just learned to pick my battles, sounds like you have too... let her wear the mismatching shorts but she does have to get her diaper changed. :)
I'm not going to lie, it will be a big change for her to have a little sibling, but she'll get used to it. And so will you! It gets easier every day.
HaHA! I love the outfit Emmi! That is so cute!
I love it. don't worry that is still how all of Bailee's out fits look. so fun.
SO Lindsey was telling me how sick you are of being pregnant. we were laughing so hard. I so remember being there. Good luck with the miserable stage. I love ya.
Jordan and Clint,
It is so great to be home and now I get to read blogs and just sit around and try to decide what I really want to do for the day, what project to attack or not. It is so fun. I can't believe how wonderful it is to be home at all hours of the day. I wish I could be with Emmi for an afternoon and take her to the park, so you could just do nothing Jordan. I am so impressed that you are choosing your battles. I love her smile. What a cutie.
Love you guys.
