We had SO much fun on our vacation. We went with all of our LDS friends (Us, Bassetts, Wrights, Bruesekes, Bradfords, Flints, and the Heslops)...that are graduating...and rented a beach house in Outer Banks, North Carolina. It was the PERFECT vacation. The house was AMAZING and right across the street from the beach. Everyone had there own rooms with bathrooms, a huge kitchen to share, an elevator, theater room, game room, pool and hot tub and tv's everywhere you went. The kids had a BLAST together and all the adults had fun with our late night hot tub parties. There was TONS of food, we did some Zumba...thanks Kellie and Amber, lots of sight seeing for other families and LOTS of sun for us. Clint and I just went to the beach or to the pool and Emmi loved EVERY minute of it. We missed the Thompsons and Ashley and we will miss everyone SO much when we graduate and all move away. It was a PERFECT way to have one last hoorah and to be together one last time. We love you guys and will miss every one of you. Good luck in residency!!!

Emmi update

We have a few pictures that are really funny of Emmi that I thought were blog worthy. She has REALLY been into the Little Mermaid and loves to watch it all day long. Well the other day Clint and I came into the kitchen and we found her combing her hair with a fork. We thought it was so funny and now I catch her doing it all the time. We were also able to go to Princesses on Ice the other day. It was really fun but Emmi didn't change her expression the whole time. She was mesmerized and never looked away. every once and a while she would look at me and tell me which Princess was out on the ice at the time. It was a fun Mom/daughter date. Some of the other pictures are of bunny and Ariel on time-out and Easton after Clint fell asleep watching the kids and Emmi found a pen. It was pretty funny but something always seems to get colored on when Clint watches the kids.

Hoppy Easter!!!

We had so much fun for Easter. My dad and brother Alex were in Washington DC for a lacrosse tournament so we went down there to visit them. Emmi and Easton LOVED getting spoiled by both of them and loved staying in Grandpa's hotel. We got to go to the zoo and see all the sights in DC. The Easter bunny also came and left Emmi a little basket. She was so excited to open the eggs and find chocolate. Needless to say that is ALL she ate the rest of the day. She also had fun swimming in Alex's pool at his hotel. It was such a fun weekend and we were sad to leave family...AGAIN. But we will see them soon when they come out to help us move to TEXAS!!

Happy Birthday Emmi!

Today is Emmi's birthday. I can't believe that my little girl is already 3. Time has gone by so fast. She is such a sweetheart and one of the loves of our lives. We are so grateful for her being in our family. Here is a little list of some of her favorite things.
Favorite color: Pink...so far
Favorite food: French Toast, melted cheese sandwiches, hot dogs and anything sweet.
Favorite Game/Toy: She just discovered hide-and-seek, playdough and her dolls.
Favorite sayings: "Actually", "see you later guys" and she always clicks her tongue when she talks.
Favorite thing she likes to do herself: get dressed, brush her teeth, put on her shoes and coat, make her bed, buckle her car seat, get in and out of her highchair, bath herself...okay it is pretty much everything.
Favorite movie: UP and Cars
Favorite place in Hershey: Hersheypark and Chocolate World
Favorite OCD: Tags and wearing her jacket in the car...she can't stand either of those things.
Those are just a few things that we love about Emmi. We love her and want her to now how special she is. Happy Birthday Emmi!!!

5 months old

I can't believe that Easton is 5 months old today. It seems like I just had him and every time I look at him he just gets bigger and bigger. He no longer looks like an infant but a little boy. He is such a joy to have in our home. I am so surprised that he is still intact. Emmi loves him a little too much. One day she will get it back, but he is such a good sport about it. He love to laugh and smile. He is definitely a "good self-esteem" baby because he never cries with anyone. He is starting to grab things and loves to grab our faces when we hold hm and plant big slobbery kisses on our cheeks. He loves Emmi...even when she hurts him. He loves to be thrown up in the air. He loves to babble and drool. He loves his binky, fingers and toys. He is growing like a weed and is starting to sit up and can roll over from his tummy to back. I feel like he is a genius because Emmi only did that once until she was 13 months. He is such a sweetheart and I love him SO much. We love you East!!!

Funny things

Emmi has been talking SO much lately. She is finally catching up to where she should be with her speech and she says the funniest things.
~So this morning she was playing with her legos and trying to stack them into a big tower and they kept falling and she kept saying to me.."Mom, I have to practice. I have to practice."
~The other day she was talking to her bunny and I guess bunny was doing something it wasn't supposed to and I heard her saying to bunny "that is un-a-cep-ta-ble" because Clint says that to her sometime. Emmi that is unacceptable.
~She also loves to say "actually". It was bed time so I said for her to go to the bathroom to brush her teeth and she said "Actually mom, I come in 10 more minutes."
~She loves to give us a time on things. "10 more minutes mom", "2 more minutes", "one second mom". It is so funny. She sounds so grown up.
~She has also found the word "stupid" which we are trying to end ASAP.
~She has been hitting Easton lately and so when she does it I tell her I am angry. So of course the other day I did something that she didn't like and she said to me "Mom..you make me so angry". It was in such a mad little voice too. I guess I need to watch how I talk to her.
Anyways, I thought I would post some cute little sayings before I forgot them.

Snowed in

So yesterday and last night we got hit by a REALLY bad snow storm. At 5:00 last night there wasn't anything on the ground and by about 9:00 Clint was out shoveling snow. Then when we woke up this morning there was about a foot of snow. For those of you who know the East coast, there aren't very many storms like this with good snow. It usually turns to ice as soon as it hits the ground. They also cancel/shut the whole city down if it is even forecasted to snow. So you can imagine what is going on. No one is driving and nothing is open. It is really fun though because Emmi has had a blast going out in the snow and climbing on all the snow drifts. It is really beautiful and kind of cozy. But this is about as much as I can handle snow. I am going to be sick of it by this time tomorrow. I am looking forward to Texan winters....50-65 degrees in January!!!! Anyways, I thought I would post some pictures of the kiddos and the snow!!
