~September~

Here is our September update...

~EMMI~

Emmi started preschool and LOVES it. She goes

everyday for half a day. It has been nice for her AND me!

She also started dance and loves that too.

She loves to color and draw and I find

pictures EVERYWHERE.

Yes...she STILL lives in a perpetual disney world and

STILL loves to dress-up. I have had

to take away the dress-ups so she will wear

normal clothes. She only gets them for quiet time.

She LOVES to sing and is usually belting out

a song at the top of her lungs most of

the day.

She also loves to help me out with Grady.

~EASTON~

Easton is definitely 2.

He is TOTAL boy and loves to do anything boyish.

And he is a little/lot naughty...but I can

laugh about it when he is in bed!

He CLIMBS on everything,

DUMPS out everything,

HITS everything,
and THROWS everything.

He has also decided that he loves being

NAKED. So he takes off his clothes ALL

the time. We have had to resort to

taping his diapers shut so I don't have to

clean up all the time.

He has started to go to the bathroom on the

toilet, but I just don't have to energy to

potty train him right now.

He also just figured out how to climb out of

his crib. So to the big boy bed he goes!!

His birthday is next week and can't believe

he isn't our youngest anymore!

~GRADY~

He is such a sweetheart! We love him

MORE and MORE each day. He is a fussier baby

than my other ones and LOVES to be held, so I have him strapped to me

MOST of the day. He is growing so big and

looks JUST like Clint. I guess the Duncan gene

is the more dominant one!

He is 6 weeks old and I fits right into

the family.

We SURE love him!

~CLINT~

Who is that??? Need I say more :)

~ME~

I am surviving having 3 kids and sure

have my hands FULL. But I am super

blessed to be able to stay at home.

I just cut my hair cause I needed a change

and that is about the most exciting thing

that has happened to me.

Enjoy the pictures!!

~Introducing~

Grady Ryan Duncan

August 12,2011

5 lbs. 11 oz.

18 inches long

7:15 pm

He is here!! I can't believe my little man came 1 1/2 weeks early. It was definitely a surprise and very unexpected, but we are so glad he made it. For those of you who don't want to hear the story browse down to see the pictures. All others here is his story.

On Friday I went to the Doctor for my usual 38 week check up. when I got there the doctor measured me and was a little concerned because I had stopped growing. Then he listened to the heartbeat and got really concerned because it was really low. So he sent me to get a non-stress test done. While I was hooked up to the machine I had a couple of contractions and during those contractions the baby's heartbeat dropped dramatically. Dr. Parker got really worried so he sent me over to the hospital to get more extensive tests done. During all this I had contacted Clint to let him know what was going on and also let my babysitter know it was going to be a little bit longer. Clint met me at the office and took me over to the hospital.

After getting admitted and hooked up there they noticed the same thing my doctor did. That everytime I had a contraction his heart rate dropped. So they told me that they were going to keep me and induce me. I was super shocked because Clint was working and was supposed to be on-call ALL weekend, and the kids were with my sweet neighbor with only ONE diaper and no food, and my mom wasn't coming for another week. So I let Clint know (he had been seeing patients at the hospital and had been checking on me in between each one). Then I let my babysitter know and called my mom in a panic.

Everything happened really quick after that. They wheeled me into the room and started the pitocin. They were watching his heart rate like hawks and it kept dropping. So they stopped the pitocin for an hour and then started it again. After 5 mins back on the pit the baby's hearbeat had dropped twice so they brought in the attending who told me that there was no way the baby would tolerate a regular delivery so I had to get a c-section. By that point I was in tears because I didn't want to have a c-section, but it was his health at risk so of course! Clint had finished work and my mom had been able to switch her ticket to the next day so that put me at ease a little bit.

They took me to the OR at 7:00 that night and Grady was born at 7:15. I was so glad to hear that cry. He is SO beautiful. He had SO much hair and I couldn't believe how little he was. It had been such a stressful day, but as soon as they laid him on my chest and I got to kiss him, ALL my worries went away. I was so grateful to Heavenly Father that I had another beautiful, healthy baby. I was so happy that Clint was there by my side and that he was able to give me a few blessings through-out the day. Grady is such a blessing to our home and has been such an amazing baby. He sleeps a TON and eats every once and a while when he isn't sleeping. Emmi LOVES him and Easton isn't quite sure what to think yet. My recovery is definitely slower than my other births, but my mom has been Heaven sent. Thank you to all our family who sent love and prayers our way. They were definitely felt by us. We love everyone and hope you enjoy the pictures of our newest addition!

~8 Years~

Clint and I were married 8 years

ago today. It is crazy to think it has been that

long. But while I was thinking, I was

able to come up with somethings

that have happened to us since we have been

married.

~We have 2 kids with one coming in 2 weeks!

~have lived in 3 different states

~have lived in 6 different houses

~had 5 different cars

~driven through 26 different states

~attended 4 different colleges

~earned 1 undergrad

~somehow earned 1 medical degree...(it might not be legit :))

~survived one year of residency...3 more to go!

~been to 20 different temples together

~have had 8 years of pure bliss... well maybe 4

years of bliss and 4 years of so-so...kidding!!

~looking forward to 70 more years together

I know Clint hates it when we talk all

lovey-dovey online, but I do

want to say how blessed I am

to be married to him. I love him

more now than I did the day

we got married...and I

was MADLY in love with

him then. He is the best hubby and father

anyone could ever have.

I love you Clint.

Happy Anniversary!

~Brown~

The other day I was laying on my back and Emmi was feeling the baby kicking and we had one of the funniest conversations I have ever had...it went like this:

E: Mom...(very serious, sweet and innocent) is the baby in your tummy going to be brown or white?
M: (laughing) I'm pretty sure the baby is white.
E: Why?
M: (still laughing and wishing Clint was hearing this) Because mommy and daddy are both white.
E: Ohhh, me and Easty are white too!!
M: Yes you are.
E: Why?
M: Because me and daddy are white.
E: okay!! (very statisfied...to my relief)

It was so funny because she has never once mentioned anyone being a different color. I didn't even know that she had even noticed. But I guess maybe I should have because San Antonio is about 50% Latins and she has a few friends that are "brown". SOOOO funny and sweet.

~dentist~

Emmi and Easton went to the

dentist for the first time

a couple days ago.

I am proud to say they

are cavity FREE and

that they both did a great job!!

I was really cute to see them

with their sunglasses on and

holding the spit sucker.

I happened to have my

camera so I documented it...

I think that is the first thing

I have documented!!

I have also included pictures
of them doing their FAVORITE

things...

Emmi's is building towers and

dressing up.

Easton's is playing with his cars.

He could do it all day

and he LOVES his Lightning McQueen

car and even takes it to

bed with him...

SO CUTE!!

I promise he was good...he just wanted Emmi's

jump rope that she just got.

He never cried when the dentist was there.

We're having a...

So when we found out that I was pregnant again Clint was so sure that we weren't going to find out until it was born. But I can NOT handle that kind of a surprise. I have to be somewhat prepared. So when I went in to get the ultrasound...of course Clint couldn't be there because of work...I found out the sex, but then had to keep it a secret from Clint. So it lasted a few weeks but I slipped the other day and revealed to Clint that we are having another BOY!!! So we are adding to the boy Duncans and Bullocks and are so excited that East is going to have a brother so close in age to him. And I also must say that little kids have their own kind of intuition. Emmi has said from the beginning that it was a little brother and has NEVER changed her mind. I was so sure it was a girl but maybe next time I should listen to my kiddos!!
